Discovery Place....5th birthday surprise

Today our family went to Discovery Place in Charlotte. Grandma and Grandpa gave Ian the trip as a birthday present. To say we had fun would be an understatement. There were some exhibits closed but there were some really neat things. It was very hands-on and Ian and Parker were so happy. Here are some wonderful pictures. I also included some pictures from a few days ago that Hyrum took while home with the boys. He has been "Daddy Day Care" for a few weeks now since losing his job (we are still trying to find it :).

Really neat air ball interactive display...

you throw or place the ball at the tube and it floats in midair

Conveyor belt which was really neat...little pebbles were lifted up and dropped into a large plastic funnel. The pebbles then went through a series of tubes and corkscrews. They were both mesmerized.

A pulley activity where you pulled your own weight up using the pulley.
We helped out the boys....

The block area...these blocks are very versatile yet all are identical. As you will see from the pictures, Parker and Ian (and Daddy) really got into it.
